have noticed all these messages are quite old - anyone out there? Been sober {and clean} since 1984 ODAT - I was 18 and had given up skating at about 16 - but did skate once with Bobby Valdez in California in the seventies - well - I got some air in the bolw and he clapped - I think...got back into skating a year ago at the age of 41 - we have a site in the UK {general old guys - not recovery} called middle-aged-shred.com - but I was talking at an NA convention in London about setting up a skaters in recovery group! I googled and found you guys - wow! I got back into it cos I was researching a set of children's thrillers I was writing called Skateboard Detectives {all writing a gift of recovery} - research turned into practice and now I'm obsessed/addicted again - learned spine transfer and tail stall at my last sesh. Hoping others are out there - let me know!
