I don't smoke, but I do chew... I have picked a NQD (Nicotine Quit Day). It is 2-14-06. This is going to be my Valentine's Day present to my family and myself... It's strange, but nicotine is harder for me to quit than the alcohol or drugs. I am going to use the patch though, I have tried to quit before, but always turn into a raving psychotic asshole!
They say tobacco is a vegetable, yeah right! Just like when the Government says to get six servings of leafy greens a day, they aren't talking about weed, hello people!

Tobacco is one of the hardest drugs to kick, it’s as bad as H.
I'm some 18 years tobacco free; my motivation was finding my mother dead of emphysema with a burnt smoke between her fingers.
Each person has a different bottom or motivation, here's hoping all you EX-smokers are successful in your endeavors. |

Hello Roger Thompson!
Your Quit Date is:Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at 12:00:00 AM
10 days to your Quit Day, when you will start saving $1,277.50/year!
I get daily reminders like this from Quitnet on my countdown to my NQD...
I'm ;ooking foeward to it, but have some nervous anticipation too. It won't be too bad though, I am going to use the three step nicotine patch. It's worth the cost, especially for my family, co-workers and student!
Roger "Doc". |

Aaarrrgghhhh!!! Nicotine is a lot harder to kick than anything else for me... I'm still on the patch, but jonesen bad! This morning I put my new patch on, and left my old one on too... It's helping some, but this sucks! I'll survive and I'm sure it will get easier. Time to feed my other addiction, I need some coffee!

| I was up at work in the wee hours of the AM when I looked at the site and about an hour later I nodded off and shure enough I had a tobacco using dream, took me back to myyouth when I tried Bull O the Woods chewing tobaccy. What a trip I have not had a tobacco using dream in about 10 years. |

I had a drinking dream last night. And I was dissapointed in my dream that I had "slipped"... Now how bizzare is that?

I look at using dreams as our Higer Power letting us know just how fast we can slip back into old habbits. To me it is a reminder that I have to be on my guard at all times, that even years down the road we are still addicts and still vanurable to attack from our addict brains.
